About the opportunity:
Mastermyne has partnered with Whitehaven Coal Limited since 2016, and look forward to continuing this longstanding client relationship and stability in the NSW Underground Coal Industry. Now, with two contracts at Narrabri for Cut and Flit and Gateroad Development, Mastermyne provides employment stability for our crews and opportunities for career development.
We’re seeking a Mining Development Coordinator with extensive underground coal experience with a focus on cut and flit mining or gateroad development. Our Coordinators are driven, motivate others, lead by example and are critical to delivery of a safe and productive project.
Minimum skills and attributes we seek for a Mining Development Coordinator:
- Coordinators are responsible for providing direction to Mastermyne employees and subcontractors and are required to liaise with external representatives to achieve safety and production targets.
- Experience in a similar role with a focus on Development works and/or UG Coal Cut & Flit;
- NSW Deputy qualifications desirable;
- Projects are planned, managed and delivered within agreed timeframes and budgets;
- Reports are completed, analysed and delivered in agreed timeframes;
- Review / conduct hazard and risk assessments and communicate to all persons working;
- Actively promote and participate in mine safety among the workforce;
- Ensure activities are aligned to planned schedule;
- Identify potential improvements to the process & action;
- Coaching and mentoring crews;
- Provide leadership to crew members, setting positive examples and assisting in team development;
- Current S123/G2 Supervisory Statement of Attainments;
- Certificate IV Underground Coal Mining desirable or a willingness to commit to this study will be a requirement for our Mining Coordinator;
- Signed copies of training transcripts and/or authorisations;
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Right to work in Australia (Birth Certificate, Passport, Citizenship Certificate)
